About the role:

As Art and Photography Teacher at High Peak School, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking a dynamic teacher who can bring a contemporary interpretation to the development and delivery of the schools technological, aesthetic and creative curriculum. You will set out schemes of work to facilitate delivery of the curriculum from Key Stage 2, leading to accredited awards for a range of abilities at Key Stage 4. You will plan, assess and deliver outstanding teaching and learning using proven methods and approaches that enable all young people to learn, whilst ensuring that pastoral needs are also met. You will establish excellent relationships with parents and carers and inspire trust and confidence in pupils, colleagues, families and other professionals. 

About you :

For this position, we are seeking individuals who either hold QTS or possess a strong teaching background and are ready to pursue their teaching qualification. We are keen to hear from teachers who have experience working with children with autism spectrum conditions and social emotional and mental health needs, however, due to the supportive culture at High Peak School, this position may also be suitable for mainstream and ECTs who feel they are ready to take on a challenge.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate a proven ability to deliver high-quality, lively and effective primary/secondary teaching, engaging and motivating young people throughout their education. They should have a genuine passion for supporting students in their learning and development and a strong commitment to making a positive impact on their lives and education.

High Peak School, part of Kedleston Group, is an independent specialist residential primary and secondary education setting for children and young people aged between the ages of 7 and 16.
