EduTalent Group are hiring for an experienced Headteacher to lead a specialist education setting providing high-quality education and behavioural support for children with autism and developmental delays. This is a senior leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape curriculum, governance, and operational excellence while working closely with the Clinical Director and senior leadership team. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Strategy Provide vision and strategic direction, driving school performance and continuous improvement. Collaborate with the leadership team to implement plans that support innovation and academic excellence. Promote an inclusive culture that fosters growth for staff and pupils. Curriculum & Education Quality Oversee the development and delivery of a high-quality curriculum tailored to individual pupil needs. Monitor teaching and learning standards, provide feedback, and ensure pupil progress tracking aligns with EHCPs and school expectations. Safeguarding & Compliance Maintain responsibility for safeguarding and child protection policies, ensuring statutory compliance. Work with external agencies as required and ensure staff are trained and confident in safeguarding procedures. Ensure governance and regulatory compliance across both school and early years settings. Staff Leadership & Development Inspire, mentor, and develop teaching and non-teaching staff. Conduct performance evaluations and support professional growth opportunities, including mentoring ECTs. Stakeholder Engagement Build strong relationships with parents, pupils, staff, and external partners. Represent the setting at events, meetings, and conferences. Operational Oversight Ensure operational efficiency including health and safety, risk assessments, budget awareness, and MIS management. Oversee behaviour management procedures and promote pupil and staff wellbeing. Requirements: Proven leadership experience as a Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential. Strong knowledge of early years, primary education, curriculum development, assessment practices, and SEN provision. Experience with safeguarding, child protection, and independent school compliance. Strategic thinker with excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. NASENCo or NPQSENCo qualification advantageous. Willingness to learn principles of ABA (prior knowledge of ABA principles are desirable) What's on Offer: Working with an energetic team with opportunities for professional growth.
