Globe 24-7 in partnership with a key client are working together to source experienced and qualified Principal Geologist for their team. As the Principal Geologist, you will play a pivotal role in leading our geological exploration and development efforts. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of geological operations, from exploration activities through to development stages. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and business acumen, with a clear pathway for career advancement within our organization.

Job Description

• Lead and manage geological exploration projects from conception to development stage, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Conduct geological assessments and evaluations.
• Design and implement exploration programs, including geological mapping, geophysical surveys, drilling campaigns, and data analysis.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior geologists and field staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
• Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and environmental standards.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events, fostering relationships with key stakeholders and potential partners.

The Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mineral exploration, with a track record of successful project management and resource discovery.
• Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software and other relevant geological modeling tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment and effectively manage stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in budgeting, resource allocation, and project planning, with a keen understanding of financial metrics and business fundamentals.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and corporate responsibility.
• British nationality or UK citizenship preferred.
