2D Illustrator

Job Description

Carbon60 are working with a multinational consumer electronics and technology company, who are looking for a 2D Illustrator to join them on a contract basis.

Required Experience

• Proficient with Adobe Illustrator.

• Solid understanding of Adobe Illustrator tools (e.g. gradient), to produce desired visual results.

• Good understanding of drawing accurately with linework to create the desired illustration.

• Good understanding of technical drawing principles (e.g. the use of perspective or isometric projection).

• Ability to interpret 2D drawings to understand their 3D appearance.

• Ability to interpret 3D renderings as an aid to creating 2D illustrations.

• Ability to interpret a brief and systematically work through its requirements.

• Ability to work neatly and systematically.

• Ability to follow processes (e.g. style guides, drawing setup, etc.).

Desired Experience

• Ability to work independently and follow a brief.

• Ability to interpret and work with schematic ideas to fulfil a brief.

• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop

• Ability to produce a variety of different styles (e.g. figurative work).

• Knowledge of 3D modelling packages.

Contract Specifics

• Contract Length: 3 to 6 months initially, with potential for rolling extensions.

• Pay Rate: £250-£300 per day (Inside IR35, via an umbrella company).

• Office Location: Malmesbury, Wiltshire.

• Working Flex: 3 days per week in the office required, and 2 days WFH.
