Our client is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their high performing Finance Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the team is supported through the delivery of key responsibilities, including invoicing, credit control, and reconciliation. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that values continuous improvement and excellent communication skills.

What You'll Do

As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will play a crucial role in delivering best practice accounting. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure effective Accounts Receivable support across all departments and the end to end processing of AR. Your ability to deal with queries professionally, politely, and sensitively will be key in this role.

  • Process and distribute all sales invoices including student housing invoices; ensuring correct VAT analysis and reconciliation of debtor accounts
  • Ensure compliance with credit terms and cash is collected promptly
  • Deal with any queries from internal departments around the invoicing of customers including input into the invoicing and pricing process
  • Assist with Reconciliation of University Composition Fees
  • Prepare any statutory returns and forms for the University and outside bodies
  • Support the Accounts Payable Clerk as and when required in a bid to create team flexibility
  • Carry out other finance related tasks as directed by the AP&RS and any other member of the Bursary Finance Team Management structure

  • Experience of working in a Finance Department and extensive experience running the sales ledger in its entirety
