If you have just answered YES to the above, then continue to read for the chance of becoming a Youth mentor The role - Youth Mentor - Barnet Youth Mentors work closely with children or young people who exhibit challenging behaviours. Within this role you will either be supporting children 1:1 or in small groups. You will be helping with their academic studies alongside their behaviour. As part of the Youth Mentor program, the behavioural staff members, the SLT, and the class teacher work together to record the progress of each student and identify ways to help them. Providing extra support with hard subjects or supporting pupils with their behavioural or emotional needs are areas in which Youth Mentors can run or support interventions.
