Monkwearmouth Hospital Inpatient Services are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Qualified Nurse to join the team as a Band 6, Clinical Nurse Lead.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a supportive team that is focused on delivering high standards of nursing care.
You will work within the South Inpatient CBU supporting multi-disciplinary teams with complex patient care for both mental and physical health needs. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing team in which you will be expected to demonstrate strong clinical leadership, excellent communication skills and be calm, confident and resilient in your approach. You will participate in staff appraisal, supervisions and support personal development plans.
The post will require the successful applicant to work a shift pattern 24/7 across 7 days.
Main duties of the jobYou should have an interest in working within the Older Person Pathway, demonstrate a level of resilience and patience and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to demonstrate a warm, patient centred approach to care.
You will be expected to facilitate and coordinate clinical practice, ensuring high standards of evidence based care and treatment during supervision of staff nurses and nursing assistants; taking a lead in, and supporting the staff team with complex patient care for both mental and physical health needs.
You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, developing collaborative, needs based care plans, through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Be visible and accessible to patients, families and carers working together to ensure efficient, effective and caring services.You will lead on the implementation of all performance indicators, essential standards and quality outcome, develop and where appropriate deliver training packages to enhance the knowledge and skills of the workforce and students.

Person Specification Education and Qualification- experience of a leadership
- 12 - 24 months minimum experience in a staff nurse/community nurse post
- Post registration clinical experience
- Good interpersonal and Communication skills
- Change Management
