Community Sports Hub Officer, Uist & Barra (5497)
30 hours per week, Permanent post
£26,358 to £28,564 per annum, inclusive of £2,223 Distant Islands Allowance per annum
The post holder will developa network of Community Sport Hubs in Uist & Barra in line with sportscotland principles. Through collaboration with localised sports hubs, work and liaise with CnES Services, the Uist & Barra Sports Council, NHS Western Isles and other local and national agencies and governing bodies of sport to enhance sport and physical activity in communities across Uist & Barra. Additionally, to support new and existing sports facilities to increase delivery of health and fitness sessions to a wide range of groups and to support clubs and community groups in the recruitment, training and retention of volunteers across a range of skills.
You must hold at least one UKCC Level 2 coaching qualification and/or Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification.
You must have experience of partnership working in a sport and/or health role and and have the ability to demonstrate experience of practical delivery of physical activity sessions.
The ability to work evenings and weekends is essential. A full and valid UK driving licence is essential.
Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance.
