Cubitts is now a decade old, with 17 beautiful stores, and over 250,000 customers. Over this time we’ve been a retail and eCommerce business - selling our frames directly to our customers through our stores and international website.

But we believe there is a huge opportunity to build a brilliant wholesale business, working closely with like-minded retailers around the world, to take our products to new audiences.

So we’re creating a new role and team to help us with that.

The role

As Senior Wholesale Manager, you’ll have sole responsibility for managing and growing the wholesale Cubitts business - currently £0.5m in sales and 150 doors, but with ambitions for us to be many times bigger than that.

The role includes:

  • Identifying and engaging with potential partners - the most innovative, exciting, brand-sensitive retailers around the world
  • Growing a profitable wholesale channel - delivering on ambitious 50% year-on-year growth, and opening [20] doors in our target markets (US, Japan, Australia)
  • Developing our wholesale strategy - working with the Executive team to set the wholesale strategy, and manage budgets and resources to deliver that strategy
  • Identifying, onboarding and managing a small, dedicated team of agents and distributors across Asia, Europe and Canada
  • Relationship management - closely managing and working with all our wholesale accounts, to build long-term collaborative relationships, and working with internal teams to oversee successful and timely fulfilment
  • Partnerships, collaborations and private label - developing exciting new partnerships, working alongside our Brand the Design team to create new products similar to our collaborations with YMC, Mr P, Niwaki, Oliver Spencer, and TOAST
  • Travel - visiting our wholesale accounts, and managing trade shows as and when required
  • Reporting and analysis - including reporting across the company and to the Board
  • Leadership - playing a key role within the Cubitts Management Team, making decisions to support the wide business

Who you are

You have:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a sales role within the fashion wholesale industry [eyewear experience is preferred but not essential]
  • A genuine love of products, particularly spectacles and sunglasses
  • A thorough understanding of the most interesting retailers around the world, with an existing set of contacts and relationships
  • Natural sales skills, an excellent storyteller, with an interest in building long-lasting, collaborative relationships
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills, with a true customer-centric mindset
  • A deep appreciation of the Cubitts brand and values

Contract: Full Time, 40 hours Monday to Friday. Brewery Road HQ. Must be available for travel.
