Job Overview:

As an Infrastructure Architect with expertise in Cloud Microservices, you will design, implement, and oversee scalable, high-performance cloud architectures. You will be responsible for shaping the cloud infrastructure strategy, ensuring alignment with business needs, and adopting best practices to optimize the architecture for cloud-native applications and microservices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and Design Cloud Solutions: Develop comprehensive cloud infrastructure solutions using microservices architecture on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Scalability and Performance: Ensure cloud architectures are scalable, resilient, and designed for high performance, handling traffic spikes and complex workloads.
  • Microservices Management: Design and manage a microservices-based architecture that enables rapid deployment, continuous delivery, and modular services integration.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud infrastructure.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure that cloud infrastructure complies with industry standards for security, privacy, and regulatory requirements. Implement identity management, encryption, and other security measures.
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies using tools like Prometheus, ELK stack, or CloudWatch to track performance and optimize infrastructure resources.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with development teams, DevOps engineers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects.
  • Cost Management: Optimize cloud costs by selecting the appropriate services, right-sizing resources, and leveraging auto-scaling and cost-management tools.
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Implement containerized applications using Docker and manage container orchestration through Kubernetes, OpenShift, or similar tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • 8+ years in IT infrastructure and cloud architecture.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with microservices architecture in cloud environments.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Expertise in designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • In-depth knowledge of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments.
  • Proficient in programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Certifications:
  • Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, etc.).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate architectural decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
