Electrical Design Specialist Permanent
Reading - Hybrid working

The Electrical Specialist position is a key role within the Site Design Team, responsible for electrical design initiatives for our internal teams, construction partners and clientele.

As our Electrical Design Specialist, you will lead the charge in developing design standards and solutions that align with current legislation and regulations, ensuring both build and operational effectiveness.
Collaborate within our multi-disciplinary Design Team, focusing on electrical engineering.
Develop design standards and solutions compliant with regulations, ensuring suppliers adhere to these standards.
Conduct site visits, audit installations, and review test certifications.
Cultivate relationships with suppliers, facilitating product development and training.
Address incoming design queries, offering guidance or delegating to specialists within the team.
Review and approve electrical design concessions, providing responses to queries.
Provide feedback to suppliers on electrical design matters, ensuring compliance with standards.
Experience in Electrical Design and Installation of commercial & residential installations, compliant with BS7671.
Proficient in Test, Verification & Inspection to BS7671 for new and existing fixed installations.
Strong telecom or electrical trade experience.
Deep understanding of electrical infrastructure, including AC, DC, Earthing, LPS, SPD's, and DC power supplies.
