Head of Retrofit

We are working with a leading Construction contractor to recruit a Head of Retrofit / Decarbonisation to join their business, leading on decarbonisation projects within predominantly residential properties. This role is based in London, with travel throughout the South East to be expected.As a key member of the Operations team, you'll be instrumental in delivering refurbishment works on behalf of various clients, reducing carbon emissions and alleviating fuel poverty, paving the way for a more sustainable future for clients. You will champion innovation, advocating for long-term investment in retrofit solutions and exploring novel approaches and collaborations to address market challenges.
Whilst leading a high-performing team to deliver a multi-million-pound portfolio of work, you will work with clients to ensure ongoing funding from national sources, fostering strong relationships and partnerships to secure additional works and ensure future pipeline of work.
Proven track record of successfully negotiating and delivering multiple building retrofit or construction delivery projects, with a demonstrable understanding of how to minimise risk and maximise impact.
In-depth understanding of building physics, construction, or domestic retrofit delivery.
Working knowledge of relevant legislation, including either domestic energy management policies (SAP, EPC, ECO, PAS 2035/2030) or non-domestic energy management regulations (MEES), coupled with knowledge of commercial investment models like Energy Performance Contracting.
A relevant professional qualification (RICS, CIOB, or equivalent) with a commitment to continuous professional development.
