The role as a Trainee Therapy Assistant
- Your main duty and role will be to support the students in the classroom.
- The support you provide will be either in a small group setting or 1 to 1.
- Your priority will be to ensure that these children have a warm and safe environment to come to everyday so that learning can take place.
- You will be supported by the class teacher and also have the advantage of being exposed to a multi-disciplinary team.
- This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals who are looking to make a difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
- Individuals who are aspiring graduates and those looking to start a career in either education or psychology are most welcome to apply.
- Those with backgrounds in sports, art or drama are also encouraged to apply.
The successful Trainee Therapy Assistant:
- Will be calm, passionate about making a difference and positive
- Will have some experience working with children
- Will understand the importance of safeguarding
- Will have a DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one
