IT Testing Manager

We are seeking an experienced Test Manager to work within our Operating Systems Team to ensure the quality of our IT deliveries.

As a Test Manager, you will help improve the testing strategy, overseeing test planning and execution, and managing a team of testers both internal and external.
You will work with cross-functional teams to helping develop test plans and implement best practices to provide high-quality software solutions for our Operating Systems Team.
Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, strategies, and methodologies to ensure the quality of software products.
Manage a team of testers, providing guidance, and support to improve performance and achieve testing goals.
Collaborate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define testing requirements, scope, and timelines.
Coordinate and prioritise testing activities, allocate resources, and manage test schedules to meet project deadlines.
Conduct risk assessments, identify potential issues, and develop mitigation strategies to minimise project risks.
Define and maintain testing standards, processes, and documentation to ensure consistency and efficiency across projects.
Monitor and report on test results, quality metrics, and project status to stakeholders, highlighting any deviations or issues.
Evaluate and improve testing tools, and techniques to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
Experience software testing and quality assurance, with a focus on test planning, execution, and management.
Understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, including Agile, Scrum and Waterfall.
Experience with test automation frameworks, tools, and scripting languages (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, Python).
Certification in software testing (e.g. Boots Retirement Savings Plan
