Head of Quality

The Role & Key Responsibilities

Location : Monmouth, Monmouthshire, Wales

Permanent, Monday – Friday – 40 hours per week

Are you an experienced Quality professional who can support and develop a team through growth, change and transformation? If so, join our Global Supplement division as a key part of our site leadership team.

As our Head of Quality, you will have ownership for the quality management system at the site and across the wider supply chain. You and the team will be responsible for the creation and implement of policies and procedures, ensuring that we meet all relevant feed and non-feed safety standards and industry norms such as HACCP, GMP+, FEMAS, BETA-NOPS, ISO & UFAS.

Other responsibilities include:

• Support, coach and develop a team towards a high-performance framework.
• Develop systems and methodologies to meet compliance and regulatory needs.
• Manage regulatory third-party quality audits.
• Key part of change management and product development process associated to product formulations, labelling and market/customer feedback.
• Ownership for complaint management procedure championing the voice of the customer.
• Work closely with internal teams such as procurement to support supplier and raw material approval/audit processes.
• Develop key working relationships across our AB Agri group to provide expertise and guidance to learn from shared experiences and develop group best practice.
• Strategic planning for our five-year rolling forecasts mitigating any risks and variances.

This is a great opportunity for someone who can bring in best practice and have an important role in our journey of continuous improvement. Our products support the lives of animals in the Equine and Companion Pet industry so ensuring they meet the compliance regulations is critical to animals and owners globally.

To be successful in this role some of the knowledge, skills, and behaviours we are looking for:

• Experience of managing Health Safety & Environment, Feed Safety / Quality performance, processes, and engagement.
• Proven leadership and people management skills with experience of developing high performing teams.
• Experience with internal and external audits.
• Relevant qualifications at degree level or above or similar would be beneficial.

Location

For this role we are looking for someone who can be onsite full time at our Manufacturing Facility in Monmouth, Wales, UK. Some flexibility on occasion may be possible.
