Hours: 38hrs Monday to Friday | Mon - Thurs 07.30am - 16.00pm | Friday 07.30am - 13.30pm | Overtime available Evenings & Weekends
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Long Term
NO CSCS or CCNSG required for site. Must have qualifications. Local preferable but would consider travellers. The fabrication shop looks after Hinkey Point C so the work is long term and the site is nice and modern. This is a great chance to get nuclear experience under the belt.
Duties :
Determine technical requirements to achieve objectives together with resource requirements.
Pipework fabrication and shaping components by material removal using hand tools and appropriate methods, techniques and tools.
Assemble pipework components to meet specification, securing and checking parts using suitable methods, techniques, connectors and securing devices.
Shape pipework by manually applied pressure using approved tools, equipment and techniques, checking that all the required shaping operations have been completed to specifications.
Prepare the work area, materials and equipment so they are ready for engineering activities to be carried out, making sure procedures and the required safety arrangements are in place.
Position and install pipework by positioning and securing equipment and components in accordance with the specification, which also includes ensuring that all necessary connections to equipment have been completed to the specification.
Carry out marking on pipework installations in an appropriate sequence using approved methods. In addition, identifying and assess defects and variations and taking appropriate action.
Test the performance and condition of installed pipework using approved procedures and within the agreed timescales and record and review results and take the appropriate action.
Ensure adherence to health and safety policy and procedures at all times.
Ability to guide Pipe Fitter trainees may be requested. Its not a NAECI site but aligns itself slightly in terms of rates, lodge and travel.
Rates : Basic £20.96 + HP, Overtime 1 £29.34 + HP, Overtime 2 £37.73 + HP.
PLUS £2.25 Bonus per hour. Radius & Lodge if required.
