Trainee Supervisor

We are looking for an experiencing Mental Health Practitioner with a UK Professional Registration to join our fast-growing fast-paced Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) in Mid Essex.
MHST's are a new service designed to support children and young people with mild to moderate mental health and emotional wellbeing difficulties within education settings. We are a multidisciplinary team made up of Children and Young People's Mental Health Practitioners and Education Mental Health Practitioners.
Support children and young people with mild to moderate mental health problems through evidence-based interventions
Support schools in developing their whole school approach to mental health
Provide timely advice to school staff and to liaise with other services to help children and young people get the right help and stay in education.
The applicant will work in partnership with schools, children, young people, and families in the development of plans for the intervention and agreed outcomes.
To support the Locality Clinical Lead with the formulation and treatment and management plans for schools, parents, children, and young people using a range of specialist psychological interventions appropriate to the service, individual and group.
Completion of thorough assessments, risk assessments, care planning and reviews. Provide caseload management and supervision to Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioners, Education Mental Health Practitioner's and Senior Mental Health Practitioner's.
Further training will be expected for any successful applicant who does not hold a supervisor qualification.

Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
The post-holder will be a graduate qualified health care professional and ideally have formal CBT training for example:
Children and Young People-IAPT (CYP-IAPT)
Or will have substantial Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) clinical experience which includes delivery of CBT interventions and fully registered with the appropriate professional or regulatory body (e.g. HCPC, NMC, BABCP etc).
The role of Senior Clinician and Supervisor will cover the Mid Essex area (Braintree, Chelmsford & Maldon), and we currently have vacancies for 2 WTE.
This post is largely agile working, ability to work independently within educational settings or at NELFT sites is important. Some travel around the county is also expected. Successful completion of a graduate training (e.g. nursing, social work, occupational therapy) and eligible for registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body NMC, HCPC, BABCP AFT, ACP
Further professional knowledge will have been gained through accredited courses workshops, study and in house training programmes (e.g. CYP- IAPT training)
At least 2 years experience of working with evidence based approaches to low mood, anxiety and behaviour problems with children and young people
Experience of undertaking delegated leadership tasks and managing trainee staff effectively
Knowledge of the relevant clinical research literature and ability to apply it to field of parent support/child mental health/staff wellbeing
Effectively manage a clinical caseload, complete outcomes measure routinely, update clinical records in line with team, service and Trust requirements
To be able to travel efficiently throughout the area
