About Music Game Club:
At Music Game Club, we are passionate about making music theory fun and accessible to teachers and students around the world. Our mission is to create engaging and educational games each month that help our students review essential music theory concepts in an enjoyable and interactive way. We believe that learning music should be a delightful journey, and our games are designed to foster a deeper connection between teachers, students, and the joy of music.
Collaborate with the game development team to understand the music theory concepts that our students need to review.
Design intuitive and visually appealing game boards, characters, and assets that resonate with our target audience.
Develop eye-catching art to enhance the gameplay experience.
Ensure that the visual elements seamlessly integrate with the educational content and gameplay.
Incorporate feedback from the testing phase to refine and fine-tune the game’s design and user interface.
Work closely with our Artistic Development Lead, to infuse each game with the unique Music Game Club touch.
Proven experience as an Artist and Graphic Designer with a focus on designing for games.
Experience in creating scenes using sketches, watercolor, gouache, acrylic, pencils, as well as digital graphics.
Proficiency in industry-standard design software (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.).
Knowledge of UI/UX design principles to create intuitive and engaging interfaces.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with remote teams and incorporate feedback.
Ability to translate educational content into captivating visual representations.
Access to a robust computer setup capable of handling resource-intensive design tasks and uploading large files.
Access to essential design tools, including a scanner, to support your creative process.
A deep understanding of music theory concepts and their relevance in music education.
Strong music background and can read music well in all clefs.
Bonus Qualifications:
Passion for music and music education.
Experience designing educational materials or content.
Familiarity with the game development process and working with development teams.

This is a fully remote position, and we welcome applications from candidates based anywhere in the world. Compensation:
This is a contract position with set pricing for specific projects ($800/game). Compensation details will be discussed during the hiring process.
As part of our interview process, qualified candidates will be expected to complete an art project that involves music concepts.
