This permanent role will be based in our Dundee office.

The role

You’ll join an experienced team and will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects in the UK and overseas.

Responsibilities will vary depending on your level of experience, but are likely to include:

  • Collecting, analysing, and interpreting data from various sources to provide valuable insights for strategies, business cases, investment plans, and evaluations.
  • Developing and updating models and scenarios to forecast transport demand, assess the impact of transport interventions, and evaluate the performance of transport systems.
  • Conducting research on emerging trends and best practices in urban mobility and transport planning.
  • Preparing detailed reports, presentations, and visualisations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Supporting the design and implementation of sustainable transport initiatives, including electric mobility, public transport, cycling, and walking projects.
  • Contributing to the preparation of proposals to secure new contracts.

Skills and experience

We are interested to meet candidates with different levels of experience. You may be an experienced consultant, or an early career professional who can complement our existing team.

The ideal candidate would have:

  • A degree in a relevant subject.
  • Experience in transport analysis, data collection, and interpretation.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools such as Excel, GIS, Python, R, or similar software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex data and insights clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
