Join the expansion of our Regulatory Legal team. Comprised of 20 dedicated professionals, our team drives Kraken's mission forward through licensing initiatives, regulatory counsel, inquiries, and product launches.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in accelerating business growth, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and advocating for appropriate regulatory frameworks in the evolving crypto landscape in Europe and Asia.
Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, Regulatory for EMEA/APAC, this position will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams to navigate legal and regulatory challenges, mitigate risks, and support the company's strategic objectives.
This individual will consult with the business & control functions on their legal obligations under the regulatory frameworks applicable to e-money, crypto and securities. 14+ years of relevant experience applying financial services regulations across multiple international jurisdictions, whether in-house or at a financial institution, FinTech/digital asset business or in private practice.
Advanced understanding of the regulatory landscape across key international jurisdictions such as the UK, European Union and other major financial services hubs.
Excellent project management, negotiation, drafting, and time management skills.
Experience advising the Regulatory function of a fast-growing FinTech or crypto business as in-house counsel.
