PCN Engineers - UK-Wide – OUTSIDE IR35 – 2-Man Teams
FPG have multiple UK-wide long-term OUTISDE IR35 contract opportunities for a 2-man team of highly skilled PCN Telecoms Site Engineers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PCN infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of our clients' telecommunications networks. A chance to work with a major player in the telecommunications industry, this multinational company is renowned for its pivotal role in shaping mobile communication standards like 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G. It provides a wide range of technology, services, and solutions to telecommunications operators globally, contributing significantly to worldwide communication services.
If you are selected, you will be asked to cover a region close to your home location to help you reduce travelling and mileage. If you are travelling across the country or staying away from home, then this might be an opportunity for you
commission, and integrate PCN infrastructure components, including antennas, radios, base stations, and associated equipment.
routine maintenance tasks, such as inspections, testing, and software upgrades, to ensure optimal performance and reliability of PCN systems.
network issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
with cross-functional teams, including project managers, network engineers, and field technicians, to coordinate site activities and meet project deadlines.
all installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities accurately and thoroughly, including site reports, test results, and configuration changes.
to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and safety at all times.
degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field preferred.
experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PCN infrastructure, with a strong understanding of wireless communication principles and protocols.
with industry-standard tools and equipment used in PCN deployments, such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and RF test equipment.
with relevant software applications and platforms, including network management systems (NMS), radio planning tools, and configuration management tools.
driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
