Graduate Design Engineer / Junior Design Engineer. Our client, a respected manufacturer based in Nottinghamshire are looking Graduate Design Engineers to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who have recently finished a design apprenticeship or graduated from an engineering degree to progress within a respected business. Also, if you have a couple of years as a design engineer but want somewhere you have an opportunity to excel, please also apply. Graduate Design Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to develop innovative design solutions that meet project requirements and objectives.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support the design process, staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Create detailed 2D and 3D models using industry-standard software (e.g., CAD) to visualise concepts and facilitate the design review process.
  • Work closely with the prototype team to oversee the fabrication and assembly of prototypes and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and presentations.
Graduate Design Engineer Requirements:
  • Apprentice trained or engineering degree qualified.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and design fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D modelling software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Full Right to work in the UK
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday permanent days
