As the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a vital role in the procurement and management of all materials, services and sub-contract requirements at optimum cost, quality and delivery time, necessary for the company to successfully conduct its business.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for effective Strategic Sourcing: Optimise the Company’s supply chain strategy and performance to ensure continuity of supply, a competitive cost base to compete in the marketplace at the required quality standard and a strong working capital position
  • Utilising an effective metric deck, analyse spending patterns and identify areas for cost reduction, implementing strategies to deliver savings whilst maintaining continuity of supply at the required quality standard
  • Deliver an optimised cost base in our product portfolio through the timely completion of the annual product re-cost programme, ensuring negotiations with suppliers secure a competitive commercial position for Park Air’s products in the marketplace
  • Set and align departmental objectives and individual goals with Company objectives
  • Coordinate and maintain a vendor approval system, undertaking the supporting activities with relevant stakeholders across the business
  • Monitor commodity pricing and market trends, identifying trends enabling a competitive advantage

What we are looking for:

You will preferably have a degree in Business Studies, Supply Chain Management or other related discipline and be a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply. We are particularly interested in receiving your application if you have experience in any of the following areas:

  • Demonstrable experience leading a supply chain team in a manufacturing organisation
  • Strong negotiation capability
  • Strong analytical skills with rigorous attention to detail
  • Credibility and gravitas to manage and build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and suppliers
  • Problem-solving mindset
  • Effective communication skills enabling positive influencing of stakeholders
  • Demonstrable people management skills, with the ability to lead and develop a small team
  • Capacity to manage complex, high value overseas supply chains

Experience with the following tools and packages would be beneficial: MS Office packages and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications.
