Location: Salford or Penrith - some remote working available, with travel to the office required Contract: Permanent Fulltime Salary: £33k - £40k + benefits Responsibilities As a Bridge Engineer, you'll assist in the overall delivery of the workload of the Structures team within the Design Solutions Structures office including design checks. Your day to day will include:

  • Undertake structural bridge designs, feasibility reports and assessments to current highway standards
  • Develop and design solutions in accordance with National design standards, procedures and requirements and any specific parameters
  • Production of concise scheme documents and reports
  • Contribute to compliance with the Quality Management Systems including site specific audits
What are we looking for? This role of Bridge Engineer is great if you have:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline
  • Experience working in a similar role within highways
  • Experience of bridge design standards and analysis
