This is a client-facing role, responsible for managing wider consultant teams and project stakeholders, while working with the project director to develop the client's strategy, through to overseeing the appointment of the extended professional team of consultants and contractors and into project delivery.
You will promote Mace's value of safety first, exhibiting visible safety behaviours, sharing lessons learned and using safety moments and Mace's health, safety and wellbeing (HSW) framework to support the safety and wellbeing of all Mace staff.
You will possess technical expertise in local health and safety rules and regulations relevant to project portfolio.

You will ensure robust quality systems are in place, and suitably managed in line with service excellence.
You will manage delivery from project inception/brief, through design development and planning, contractor procurement and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones.
You will manage tasks and associated deliverables in support of the associate director and other senior leaders, alongside the wider project and client teams, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the project.
Manages intermediate level tasks and associated deliverables and/or support the associate director with activities to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of project and program management operations, whilst working alongside the wider project team comprising the client, design team and other consultants and contractor.
Provides subject matter expertise to support team/s across broad business projects and business units, ensuring the best project outcome.
Manages design and wider consultant team/s and project stakeholders to ensure effective completion of responsibilities. including project brief/scope, fees, processing claims, deliverable and/or project variations etc.
Delivers project objectives, leads and manages the project team/s and stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs).
Actively adheres to appropriate health, safety and wellbeing standards aspects across the project lifecycle.
Prepares and modifies project plans and updates and ensures relevant over the project/s lifecycle.
Oversees project timeframes, ensuring the success of delivery of programmes, highlighting risks, challenges and mitigations, managing project budgets, aligned to plan/agreed returns.
Collaborates with stakeholders and ensures robust quality systems are in place, suitably managed and monitored in line with service excellence.
Leads and records relevant meetings, providing stakeholders contextual information and analysis, including regular site walks.
Partners with stakeholders and actively manages risk management and mitigation treatments.
Promotes and drives the business priorities through construction to production, digital & data and responsible business practices.
Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You will manage project budgets and highlight any risks, challenges and mitigations.
You will support the long-term development of your function or business unit (BU), creating a sustainable business future.

You will lead and manage the project team and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs).
You will actively network, innovate, and seek understanding of best practice, utilising the full depth of knowledge of Mace group, the centres of excellence, Mace way control centre and knowledge hub.
Experience in delivering projects in the healthcare sector, ideally under the new engineering contract (NEC).

Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
NEC4 ECC project management accreditation.
Substantial experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the public sector.
Property or infrastructure project management expertise.
Commercial and financial acumen.
Experience of leading parts of projects within large, diverse teams.
Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
