The Role The Events & Functions Manager will be responsible for procedures, bookings, and staffing across all sites. Candidate must be able to lead and work within a team. Aside from being the main point of contact for bookings, you will be responsible for organising each booking, ensuring that each venue complies with the booking standard. Working with other managers, staff, and our chefs, this role will ensure that every booking is catered to and that each package is allocated and set up for the bookings. In order to maintain our high level of product and service, we monitor, direct, and train staff as needed. Applicants for this position should be driven, have an eye for detail, and be able to communicate clearly and concisely with other staff members, although previous experience is not required. This position will be based within Hamilton Academical Football Club and be responsible for all stadium bookings and staff. Requirements Trustworthy and flexible Good organisational qualities Eye for detail and ability to set and maintain standards Have ability to think on your feet Excellent communicator and able to give direction and implement company procedures Able to work within and manage a team Follow internal procedures and ensure these are adhered to across the company Work under own initiative and continue to improve our service Creative Work within a management team License holder for the site Key Responsibilities Ensure all company procedures are followed Take, manage and oversea bookings Ensure all booking requirements are programmed in and communicated to relevant departments Look at each site and identify strategies to grow/attract new business within the management team Once agreed, adopt and implement the agreed marketing strategy for all venues Promote & advertise sites working within our agreed marketing strategy and work with social media person Track impact of marketing, report on strategy within management team. When required refine, develop and improve or redefine marketing strategy when required. Monitor and oversea service levels Keep events diary and book inhouse events after acts/nights are agreed at management meetings, again promotion of these events and monitoring ticket sales is essential It is a part-time job with a working time of minimum 16 hours per week and a pay rate of £13.50-£15 per hour. We’re looking for the ideal candidate to be the face of our business, who can present themselves to a high standard, being well polished and have an approachable manner.
