Job Description
Corporate Banking Relationship Manager
- The primary responsibility of the Relationship Manager (RM) is to collaborate with the Team Head to market and secure qualifying business opportunities in line with budget, risk appetite, risk-return measures, policies, procedures, regulations, and strategy.
- The RM will be the bank's first point of contact in building client relationships (including banks, financial advisors, and sponsors), participating in syndicated loans, underwriting transactions, negotiating terms with counterparties, and providing the full spectrum of the bank's global services to clients.
- Assisting the Team Head with marketing efforts, client meetings, and preparing pitches and presentations as needed.
- Preparing credit applications, including customer credit risk analysis, business risk analysis, financial modelling, and financial risk analysis, for presentation to both UK and Head Office credit committees.
- Ongoing reporting and monitoring of clients, including quarterly and annual reviews, financial covenant reviews, waiver request processing, and overall post-loan monitoring.
- Maintaining a strong interest in and awareness of market trends in international business, including developments in the UK and European corporate banking markets.
The Successful Applicant
Financial Services
* Applicants should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in banking or a related finance industry.* A strong understanding of corporate financing activities, products, and services.
* Working knowledge of EU Syndicated Loans.
* Solid credit management experience within Corporate Banking.
* A good understanding of Credit Risk and Corporate Financial Analysis.
* The ability to comprehend corporate financing structures and loan documentation.
* The ability to build effective working relationships with individuals, organizations, and clients
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, with financial modelling skills being essential.
