A high achieving and supportive secondary school in Tottenham are looking for a Computer Science Coach to start in the Autumn term. As a computer science coach, you will be supporting and uplifting students studying A-level computer science, preparing them for both their exams and their future. You will also hold interventions and focus groups for students who could benefit from increased support, as well as tailor your teaching style to individual students needs. Working closely with students to help them develop revision techniques and preparing them for university applications is another part of the role.
This role would suit someone who is interested in training as a teacher, as there is an opportunity to gain a formal teaching qualififcation after a year in the role. There will also be a well structured training program and you will be strongly supported by the school throughout your time with them.
An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a very closely related discipline
- Experience working with young people
- Strong knowledge of the computer science A-level curriculum
- The ability to emphasise and build a rapport with young people
