Job Title : Senior CloudOps Engineer
Location : Newcastle/Sunderland, UK

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior CloudOps Engineer with expertise in cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and automation to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and related technologies. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based platforms while driving innovation and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Management : Design, deploy, monitor, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as S3, EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Develop and maintain automated infrastructure deployment processes using Terraform and Helm charts.
Container Orchestration : Manage and optimize containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker.
CI/CD Pipeline Development : Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployments and fast delivery cycles.
Database Management : Administer, tune, and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, and DynamoDB.
Security and Identity Management : Implement and manage authentication/authorization systems using tools like Keycloak.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting : Set up monitoring systems to detect and resolve infrastructure issues proactively.
Unix/Linux Proficiency : Perform system administration tasks and scripting in Unix/Linux environments.
Version Control : Use GitLab/GitHub for source code management and version control.
Automation : Streamline workflows and processes by implementing automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements:
Must Have Experience :
5+ years of hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) , including services like S3, EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
5+ years of experience with Terraform and Helm charts for Infrastructure as Code.
5+ years of experience managing containerized applications with Kubernetes .
Database Technologies : Strong experience with both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (Elasticsearch, Redis, DynamoDB) databases.

Key Skills :
Expertise with Docker for containerization.
Advanced Unix/Linux command-line and scripting skills.
Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines .
Proficiency with source code management tools like GitLab and GitHub .

Nice to have :
Familiarity with Keycloak or similar identity management tools.
Experience troubleshooting and optimizing distributed systems.

Soft Skills :
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work in cross-functional teams.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
