Are you a Data Engineer looking for a new challenge ?

Would you like to join a company where you will be able to build things from the ground up ?

Do you have solid Azure experience ?

My client has recently embarked on a major business transformation and changing the way they do things and Data is key so this is an important role for them and the 1st of its kind within the business.

The role will suit someone with a mix of skills who is happy building something new and working closely with the business. You don’t have to have years and years of experience, the right attitude and drive is important too.

Initially you will be on-site 5 days a week but this will change to hybrid (2 days in the office) because of this you must live within a commutable distance to apply.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand data requirements
  • Set up and maintain cloud infrastructure, focusing on integration services and data warehouses
  • Optimise and tune data pipelines for performance and scalability
  • Perform data validation, cleansing, and transformation tasks to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Develop and implement data storage and retrieval solutions
  • Design and build data models and schemas to support business analytics and reporting
  • Work with our Data Analysts to analyse and interpret large datasets, to identify trends, patterns, and relationships
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data platforms to ensure smooth and efficient operations

Your experience needs to include some of the following:

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or a similar role
  • Strong proficiency in SQL
  • Experience in Cloud Infrastructure, ideally Azure
  • Proficiency in Web APIs
  • Experience with ETL tools
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or JavaScript
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
