Great opportunity to work with a leading global provider of integrated facilities management and projects

The company is looking to engage a Permit Coordinator on a contract basis to join the team located on a new build Data Centre project in Slough. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all planned works are scheduled in accordance with the ongoing project works. Responsibilities include:

  1. Inducting all contractor visitors
  2. Submitting and approving Authority to Works in advance of site attendance
  3. Acting as the interface between the client's project delivery teams and contractors
  4. Enabling sufficient resource allocation
Key Tasks

Training will be provided to fully understand the operational permitting system. Other key tasks include:

  • Operating and administering the Permit to Work (PTW) systems
  • Ensuring timely completion of all approval chains
  • Maintaining contractor attendance records
  • Compiling subcontractor reports and access/permit statistics
  • Archiving permits for audit purposes
  • Attending project meetings to review permit requests and workloads
  • Monitoring contractors and their activities regularly
  • Coordinating works between shift teams, management teams, and client operations
  • Preparing documents for enabling works and surveys

Ideal Technical Attributes

The ideal candidate should have the following technical attributes:

  • Recognised qualification in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or equivalent discipline
  • Computer literate with good IT & report writing skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Systems
  • High Voltage Industry recognised training
  • Qualification or demonstrable experience in business administration
  • IOSH/NEBOSH certification would be an advantage
Experience

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Five or more years of experience in FM and building services industries
  • Experience working in a construction environment
  • Previous experience in critical environments in a technical administrative role
  • Experience with risk mitigation documentation & systems
  • Three or more years working within a data centre environment

The role is full-time, based on-site in Slough with potential requirements for out-of-hours or weekend work.
