Kingston upon Thames, Surrey – Hybrid working of 3 days per week in the office and 2 days per week working from home

An Engineering Graduate is required to work on a permanent staff basis for a large Energy company based in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey.
As the Graduate Materials & Fabrication Engineer, you will focus on engineering materials and fabrication.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of projects - ranging from offshore wind farms to oil and gas infrastructures.
As the Graduate Materials & Fabrication Engineer, you will assist with issuing documents related to the definition and production of components (pipe, fittings, etc.) needed for the construction of pipe lines, sea lines, etc.
Support procurement and commercial office with technical analysis during project bid phase.
Review company specifications for pipes and fittings manufacturing
As the Graduate Materials & Fabrication Engineer, you will support procurement department to establish bidder lists, evaluating and pre-qualifying vendors, bid assessments, audits
Review Supplier documentation for compliance with client/international specifications/rules
As the Graduate Materials & Fabrication Engineer, you Issue Technical Bid Evaluation for Line-pipes and Fittings Supply
Assist MPQT, review/comment subcontractor documentation, review the inspection and test plan
As the Graduate Materials & Fabrication Engineer, you Discuss and interface with the method project engineers and/or TM during both proposal preparation and projects to identify particular project requirements
Liaise with welding, NDT and anticorrosion colleagues to identify critical requirements for product manufacturing that may affect company installation activities and to promote innovative solutions
As the Graduate Materials & Fabrication Engineer, you Perform inspection site survey
Maintain contact with Line pipes manufacturers to be updated on new technologist/Materials Selection, in order to optimize overall quality and costs
A recent graduate in a relevant engineering discipline
As the Graduate Materials & Fabrication Engineer, you Some work expereince or a postgraduate qualification in Material Engineering would be advantageous.
As the Graduate Materials & Fabrication Engineer, you A theoretical background in ferrous alloys and corrosion resistance alloys (CRA)
Understanding of chemical and mechanical properties as well as manufacturing processes in relation to alloys used in offshore / subsea applications
As the Graduate Materials & Fabrication Engineer, you will have excellent interpersonal skills
