ILS EngineerLocation: Leicester (hybrid working available)Duration: 6 monthsRate: £60 - £70 per hour Umbrella or £43.88 - £51.20 per hour PAYE (inside IR35)The successful candidate will join the Engineering Department and take full responsibility for conducting ILS activities on an Unmanned Air System programme.ResponsibilitiesIdentity and report trends and problem characteristics in the incidents.Prepare for and support DRACAS Review Meetings and Boards.Attend other meetings as required – including, where applicable, meetings with Customers.Support the ILS Manager in the generation of estimates.Carry out reliability, and maintainability assessments on the system and components.Review and assess the impact of technical queries on the deliverable system documentation.Review and assess Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) output.Initiate NATO codification of new and revised items of supply.Create Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) data for system items of equipment and populate any required LSA database.Generate Obsolescence notification forms.Review and assess availability models for the system or system LRUs.Provide ILS input for technical documentation.Review and assess general purpose tools and test equipment for suitability.Proven Ability / Key SkillsPrevious proven ability in delivering ILS Services to Def-Stan 00-60 to the MODUnderstanding of the obsolescence monitoring and reporting processAwareness of availability modellingAwareness of S1000D technical publication processExcellent knowledge and understanding of, Reliability, Maintainability and Availability (DefStan 00-40)Good understanding of the requirements for Logistics Support Analysis and the associatedRecordsAdditionalPlease note, due to the sensitive nature of the project involved all applicants must be capable of gaining a UK MOD Security Clearance to SC level
