Job Opportunity: Principal Civil/Structural EngineerFor our Hersham office (* See Note Below) we are currently looking for an ambitious Principal Civil/Structural Engineer who will be required to:
Qualifications:- The Principal Civil/Structural Engineer shall hold an engineering degree in Civil Engineering and be a chartered engineer in either the Institution of Civil Engineers or the Institution of Structural Engineers.
- Civil and Structural experience in a Process Design Industry is preferred.
- Held a position in a supervisory role as Area Lead shall be thoroughly proficient in all the tasks and responsibilities.
- Experience in various areas such as foundation design, structural steelwork, geotechnical principles, project scheduling, modular structures design, industry software packages, and international design standards.
- Good approach to health and safety
- Ability to work across multi-discipline teams
- Flexible and committed to project requirements
- Good communication skills in both verbal and written English
- Support the Civil/Structural Manager with the Department's activities.
- Manage the delivery of the civil and structural scope on projects.
- Develop design basis and provide guidance for contracts and value engineering.
- Assist in keeping up with national codes and proposals for future work.
*Earlier this year, Air Products announced plans to relocate from the current Hersham offices in Surrey, UK to a new site located at 1000 Hillswood Park, Chertsey KT16 0PS.
