Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Tradewind are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join the team in a primary school based in West Bromwich. The successful candidate will support the Teacher in providing an outstanding education to individual children with special educational needs (SEN) and behaviour issues.

Support the teacher in planning, delivering and assessing lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.

Work with individual children and small groups, providing differentiated support and encouragement to meet their specific needs.

Use a range of specialist strategies and resources to support children with autism, such as visual aids, social stories and sensory activities.

Assist in developing children's communication, social, emotional and behavioural skills.

Work collaboratively with parents, carers and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child.

Help to maintain accurate records and progress reports to inform ongoing planning and assessment.

Experience of working with children with special educational needs, particularly autism.

Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and how to effectively support children with autism in the classroom.

Ability to use a range of specialist strategies and resources to support children with autism.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate a positive, flexible and proactive attitude.
