What You'll Do:

As our Health and Safety Advisor, you will proactively lead behavioural and cultural change which is focused on implementing and delivering robust health and safety systems and processes across the business. You will influence, train and coach leaders and managers to promote and actively encourage safe working practices to achieve our goal: Safety First – we end each day free from injury or harm.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct Health & Safety audits (planned & unannounced) of all GES Events, divisions, and locations as guided by the Audit Matrix and complete a report of findings, creation of action plans and monitoring the progress of remedial actions.
  2. Represent GES at external forums and build strong relationships with our venues, organisers and service partners.
  3. Assist with the investigation of accidents/incidents/near misses and ensure that trends are monitored through data analysis.
  4. Support the Fire Risk Assessment process, ensuring actions are closed and regular fire reviews are undertaken.
  5. Assist the Head of Health & Safety in retaining ISO45001.
  6. Support in producing monthly training reports for Managers, to identify compliance and non-compliance.
  7. Support the internal training program and support managers with advisories for any external training required. Ensuring that all training is relevant and beneficial to the business.
