The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Analyst to join our team. In this newly created role, you will work closely with the Head of Acquisitions and Finance Director to provide financial analysis on new acquisitions, assist with investor and lender presentations, conduct market analysis, and support the financial management of live investments and developments. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate with a passion for real estate to develop your career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Investment/Development Acquisitions

  • Conduct due diligence for new acquisitions, including financial modelling and business plan preparation.
  • Prepare presentation materials for investors, lenders, and senior management.
  • Perform detailed market analysis, including comparables, pipeline assessments, and sales trends.
  • Collaborate with the transaction execution team throughout acquisition processes.

Market/Data Analysis

  • Lead ongoing data analysis of sectors, markets, and submarkets to identify trends that support investment and acquisition decisions.
  • Monitor and report on emerging trends in the real estate market.

Project Accounting and Financial Management

  • Assist the Finance Director with financial reporting across all development projects and investment assets.
  • Prepare project budgets, cash flow models, and other financial reporting documents.
  • Aid in the preparation of monthly reports to investors and lenders for each project.
  • Work with third-party providers on the financial management of investment properties, including budgeting, invoicing, and arrears reporting.

Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Recent graduate (undergraduate or postgraduate) with a strong interest in the real estate sector.
  • Experience: Previous internship or work experience in real estate, finance, or a related field is beneficial.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with experience in financial modelling.
  • Personal Attributes: Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Other Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong organizational abilities.
