Job Description

The position combines two areas of responsibility: product ownership for Mobile Application used internally in Brambles Digital (ScanApps) and Mobile applications supporting Digital Customer Solutions.

Mobile applications support business critical tasks in our service centres (collecting smart device information about Firmware, Errors, Status, Battery levels etc..) as well as customer solutions (proof of goods delivery, temperature limit breaches for temperature sensitive produce.).

MAJOR / KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Define product strategy for Brambles Digital and Digital Customer Solutions mobile applications.
  • Build and maintain a roadmap for products in scope in close collaboration with the Digital software architecture team, and Brambles IT, Digital Customer Solutions team.
  • Facilitate communication throughout the development process between a variety of internal stakeholders as well as customer-facing teams, ensuring that product satisfies customers' needs and are highly adopted.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, quality engineers for building the solution.
  • Work with consulting and implementation teams that use the solution in their projects.
  • Collaborate with UX and visual design teams for a world-class user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with solution and product managers that manage Brambles asset tracking and customer facing solutions.
  • Serve as a product evangelist to customers, Brambles business units, and solution implementation teams to help them understand the concepts and best practices for using mobile applications.
  • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of your product in terms of adoption and actual use.
  • Refine requirements based on detailed end user input (internal and external).
  • Lead by example.

Experience

Essential

  • At least 5 years of software product management and or senior software development experience in the mobile software space.
  • Experience as a technical, quality or support team lead (with or without HR responsibility).
  • Multi-year experience in building mobile and handheld terminal applications.
  • Experience in go-live of new software applications across multiple customers
  • Hand-on experience analysing data.
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, maths, statistics, one of the sciences, or business.

Desirable

  • Experience in supply chain management systems.
  • Experience as a team lead of a software development, consulting, or analyst team especially in supply chain management.
  • Advanced degree (MS, MBA, or Ph.D.).

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Passion to build outstanding enterprise software products.
  • Understand and define the big picture for your product.
  • Ability to lead by influence and by example.
  • Good at mathematical/logical abstraction - based on attention to details.
  • Creative thinker who thrives on solving challenging problems.
  • Experience working with engineering teams and discussing and reprioritizing daily.
  • Hold your own in debates with technical architects and software engineers.
  • Technical expertise - should be able to read and ideally write code or analyse data (though you don’t need to be an engineer).
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
