Client Accountant, Accounting Services

We’re looking for a motivated, solution focused Systems and Controls Accountant to join our dynamic central finance function. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and uncovering insights that drive smarter business decisions. Systems and Controls Accountant high level responsibilities:
Manage system administration (chart of accounts, subsidiaries and other master data/set up as required)
Support in documentation of finance manual, and related policies/procedures
Document and deliver risk & control matrices across all key financial processes
Drive system access reviews, design processes for ongoing monitoring
Independent review and input to reconciliation processes and other operating controls, ensure control issues addressed
Support in resolution of audit issues/control points, and support in delivery of audit evidence
Coordinate on acquisition integration across key areas
This role will report into the Group Accounting Manager, who will oversee and support these activities.
Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CA)
Experience in a controls role (internal audit or other controls design and or testing capacity) is an advantage
A qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA or equivalent)
Proven expertise in financial risks and controls, or internal audit
Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret and present data clearly
Experience with financial systems – Salesforce and NetSuite are a bonus
This is a Hybrid role, requiring 3 days based from our Head Office, Birmingham City Centre - Mailbox.
