Vendor Manager - Strategy & Operations - Insurance Experience Essential - Permanent Opportunity

Our global Insurance client are looking for a Third Party Vendor Manager to join their central operations division - this position will be responsible for the management of relationships with vendors related to a large-scale Business Strategy and Operations initiative.

Role Responsibilities Overview:

  • Working with the Operations, Risk, Procurement, IT, Legal, Risk and Compliance, ESG and other business functions to participate in due diligence exercises on external suppliers from a Business Continuity or Operational Resilience perspective.
  • Ensuring key third-party service providers are managed both strategically and operationally in line with service levels agreed.
  • Support the onboarding of third parties on a risk based approach and in line with the Third Party Risk Management policy.
  • Developing, implementing and embedding an effective and efficient process to support the continuous monitoring of performance of SLAs with escalation as appropriate.
  • To raise the profile of third party vendor management and work with the business to support understanding.
  • Help drive forward good Conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers.

Requirements (Essential)

  • Experience managing third-party vendors, both strategically and operationally.
  • Experience and a good understanding of the Insurance domain.
  • Experience monitoring and managing SLAs.
  • Excellent report writing skills with experience preparing presentations for senior management.
  • Ability to tactfully question, support and challenge the business at all levels and present balanced opinions, findings and recommendations.

Requirements (Desirable)

  • Experience understanding of third-party risk management, information & cyber security, operational resilience and business continuity risks and controls.
