Who You Are:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at Sapcote Engineering, you are a creative problem solver with expertise in designing conveyor systems, materials handling solutions and platforms. With 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, your acquired knowledge and experience will ensure that your designs are not only cost-effective but also reliable and maintainable. Your proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor, allows you to bring your ideas to life in detailed and accurate designs.

Where You Fit In:

As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our engineering team, responsible for designing and developing mechanical solutions. You will be responsible for creating mechanical solutions that meet project requirements, ensuring cost effectiveness, reliability, and maintainability. Your designs will contribute to the success of our projects, providing efficient and safe solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities:

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing mechanical systems and components for conveyor, platforms, and materials handling projects.
  • Working closely with project teams to determine project requirements, objectives, and design constraints.
  • Preparing and reviewing detailed technical drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
  • Developing and maintaining project schedules and budgets.
  • Conducting design reviews and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Conducting feasibility studies, perform calculations, and making recommendations for design improvements.
  • Providing technical support to manufacturing, installation, and commissioning teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design with a focus on conveyor systems,
  • Experience of materials handling, and platforms.
  • Experience in the Food industry would be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
  • A solid understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skillsand teamwork abilities.
