Lead Software Test Engineer Coventry (2 days per week)
Progression into a QA Manager / Head of QA position

We are looking for a Lead Software Tester to join our clients fledgling team and take ownership of a small QA function that is looking to expand over the next 18 months. Within this role you'll work to improve and streamline the testing function, review and implement automation testing and be the technical lead for a small team of testers, as well as be hands-on in testing the company's products. The company build data-driven SaaS solutions for their customers and have a range of web & mobile applications that support key services across the UK so experience across multiple platforms is beneficial.

Create and run test plans with precision, identifying and resolving bugs promptly to uphold the highest standards of product quality.
Foster collaboration across teams, including development, product management, and customer support, to align quality assurance processes with project objectives and customer expectations.
Drive ongoing enhancements in testing strategies and processes, incorporating best practices to ensure optimal outcomes.
Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of test results, offering valuable insights and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making.

Experienced in software testing and quality assurance, with experience in a senior or lead role.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Proficiency in developing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts tailored to bespoke software applications.
Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
Familiarity with programming languages and scripts (e.g., Flutter, SQL) to facilitate understanding of the software development process and enable test automation.
Experience in performance and security testing, including knowledge of relevant tools and principles.
Relevant certifications in Quality Assurance and Software Testing are advantageous, such as ISTQB Advanced Level, CSTE, or similar.

You must also be prepared to travel to Coventry 2 days per week as a minimum.
