As a Senior Engineer on our team, you'll play a crucial role in transforming healthcare data into actionable insights that empower clinicians, researchers, and administrators to deliver better care.

 
The Team: The Insight & Measurement team is responsible for unlocking the value of athena’s value-based care (VBC) data and building athena’s next generation feature suite for population health and VBC. I&M is focused on using scalable data technologies to build products and experiences that deliver insights and drive actions across multiple sets of users, including Care Managers, Analysts, and providers. Design, develop, and deploy high-quality code to production as a full stack developer in an Agile team of diverse engineers; Implement user-friendly, intuitive, and accessible analytics experiences using modern front-end tooling
Collaborate effectively with data scientists, analysts, engineers, and business leaders to translate data needs into actionable solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
Ideally, 5+ years of software engineering experience with product development expertise
Knowledge of modern programming languages such as: C#, C++, Perl, Java, Python, and JavaScript/jQuery
Knowledge of Unix/Linux, SQL, NOSQL, and various other technologies 
Experience in development, maintain microservices and web applications and able to contribute to front-end and back-end development processes.
Experience with deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins along with git, bitbucket and other source code repositories preferred.
Bonus Points
Hands-on experience working with healthcare data, standards, and regulations (e.g. Experience with data analytics tools and technologies (e.g. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of data visualization and reporting best practices  
Work on challenging and impactful projects that directly contribute to improving patient care.
