CTO – Chief Technology Officer - £2-3 Million Equity
About the business
A Private Equity Backed international SaaS business who have just received large funding to scale and grow the business internationally. The next 3-4 years will be an exciting journey with a plan to exit at the end.
The company has been trading for more the 20 years, they are the global market leader in their field and work with some of the biggest brands globally.
The PE in question has invested as they see technology is the driving force behind the company’s growth. There will be a large technology transformation. Which will include growing the software engineering team by 300% and re-platforming their product suite.
The plan is to invest the new funding in the business and to do this they will need to build and grow their software engineering, product & data teams.
About the role
As the Chief Technology Officer, you will lead and drive the technology vision and roadmap. You will represent technology at a board level and be responsible for overseeing the strategy, development, and implementation of their SaaS solution. You will design and deliver a technology roadmap that aligns with company goals and objectives and lead the development and implementation of innovative technology solutions to drive business growth.
Using the PE investment, you will grow the engineering, product, and data teams – It is your decision on where these are located globally.
As CTO you will provide regular updates on technology initiatives, trends, and progress toward strategic goals and objectives. You will own the technology budget.
What we need from you
• 5+ years’ experience as a CTO in a fast-scaling business (You must not be the VP of Engineering or the No.2 in command but the true CTO)
• Strong Software Engineering background as an engineer (even if it was 10 years ago)
• Experience of working in a SaaS business
• Experience recruiting and scaling tech teams. Specifically, Software engineering & Data.
• Proven experience in creating a diverse, productive culture.
