We are excited to announce that we have a superb opportunity to join Cumming Europe Ltd, as part of Cumming Group, in the role of Finance Officer in our Cardiff Office.

We are seeking to recruit an Finance Officer who will provide support to the Finance Manager in daily/monthly tasks and provide financial account support services.

This role will be based full-time in our Cardiff office.

The role of a Finance Officer includes the following responsibilities:

  • Supporting the co-ordination of accountancy information and assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, to include balance sheets reconciliations
  • Input of journals
  • Using the Sage software package to prepare monthly salaries, - deal with payroll queries and ongoing updates
  • Dealing with confidential financial matters relating to the Practice
  • Operating financial reminder and bring forward systems
  • Maintaining financial databases and updating financial spreadsheets
  • To be conversant in tax, national insurance and VAT rules of the UK
  • To cover purchase ledger and credit control in staff absence

Key Attributes:

The ability to –

  • Manage conflicting demands and time effectively
  • Continually improve processes
  • Communicate and work with other team members to achieve deadlines

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Relevant Finance qualifications desirable
  • AAT membership desirable but not essential
  • Workday experience is preferred but not require
  • Experience in Finance Management, ideally gained in professional services environments, profit & loss statements and balance sheets
  • Experience of using project driven ERP packages
