Mechanical Estimator for Office, Banking and Commercial Sector Projects***

My client is a reputable and well-established M&E building services contractor with a successful track record in delivering high-quality projects across commercial and industrial, sectors. Your Role : As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in their projects by:
Providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems and installations in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
Collaborate closely with the project management teams to develop competitive bids, assess project requirements, and contribute to the overall success of our venture
You will be essential in ensuring that our projects are financially viable, well-planned, and executed to the highest standards.
Review and analyse project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to understand project requirements fully.
Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare detailed estimates for mechanical systems, including high-quality HVAC and Public Health systems to suit client and customer needs, working alongside the design engineers and operations teams
Source and solicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
Collaborate with the project management teams to develop cost-effective solutions that meet project objectives.
Create comprehensive bid proposals, including breakdowns of labour, materials, equipment, and other project-related expenses.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to enhance the estimating process.
Review and analyse project bids and contracts, providing insights to improve future estimating accuracy.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction industry, with expertise in commercial & industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, public health care.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g. Hevacomp, MEPWorx, AutoCAD).
Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Effective communication and negotiation abilities to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
