Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday
Due to expansion, we are looking for full time or part time Teaching Assistants to join our team at New Barn School.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will connect directly with the brilliant pupils and young people we care for, helping to make sure they get the very best from their education. You will help prepare learning materials and run classroom activities, with plenty of hands-on experience and some supervision too. Supporting pupils with complex Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs is important and rewarding work. We are committed to the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils and young people. All applicants will be subject to social media checks and successful applicants to a fully enhanced DBS. Experience of working in the independent SEMH sector and with pupils with SEN would be an advantage. The successful candidate must be familiar with and happy to adopt a therapeutic approach to teaching and working with SEN/SEMH pupils.
