Sales Director Market Leading Instrumentation
£90k - £100k Basic + Substantial Bonus Potential + Share Options
An integral part of a highly successful UK listed Group of Companies, our Client is a world leading designer & manufacturer of innovative, market leading, test & measurement instrumentation products and accessories supplied to a global customer base (Multinational Industrial Companies, Automotive & Consumer Electronics OEMs and prestigious Academic Institutions etc.). Highly profitable with an excellent growth record, the Company is renowned for its innovative solutions & exceptional customer service. Having invested heavily in R&D and its facilities, the Company is now about to enter its next exciting phase of growth.
It is in this thriving context that a high calibre Sales Director is now required. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will report directly to the Managing Director and will assume full responsibility for the development & management of the Sales & Marketing team and function. developing new business models, unlocking new markets, and providing valuable market feedback to inform the R&D efforts, thus ensuring the achievement of ambitious sales targets. The effective development & leadership of the Sales & Marketing Team and an International Distributor network combined with the implementation of a proactive and intelligent sales strategy will be crucial to your success. Based on average 3 days per week at the offices in Buckinghamshire, the role will require national and international travel.
Degree qualified (probably in an Engineering, Scientific, Technical, or Business discipline), you will be able to demonstrate a successful Sales Management/Leadership track record gained in a technical/engineered product manufacturing environment (e.g., but not exclusively, electro-mechanical instrumentation, test & measurement equipment, scientific instrumentation etc.). An advocate of robust sales process and comfortable selling via diverse routes to market (MNEs Industrials, OEMs, Distributors, Academia/Research Institutions), you will be highly driven, energetic and decisive with an understanding of what constitutes “good business”.
