Are you ready to pioneer groundbreaking solutions in materials science? Lucideon, a trailblazing R&D firm, is on the lookout for a dynamic Senior Scientist to spearhead innovation in Advanced Ceramics.

Job Overview:As a Senior Scientist at Lucideon, you'll be at the forefront of Research and Development, tackling real-world challenges in aerospace, defence, nuclear energy, net-zero, healthcare, and beyond. Our collaborative team engages with global clients, developing solutions for a diverse range of sectors, including armor, aerospace engines, nuclear fuels, fusion, batteries, fuel cells, and dental implants.

Lead technical scoping and project delivery, serving as the client-facing Technical Lead.
Mentor the next generation of apprentices and junior technicians/scientists.
Take ownership of cutting-edge processing and analytical equipment, enhancing our ceramics process capability.

Project-specific technical lead
Laboratory management and Health & Safety
Develop new processing and testing procedures.

Qualifications : Master's in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or Chemistry with relevant industry experience.

Advanced ceramic powder processing, characterization, and forming.
Production and analysis of ceramic slurries, including rheology techniques.
Thermal analysis techniques (TGA, DSC, thermal conductivity)
Operation and configuration of furnaces for advanced ceramic processing
High-temperature inorganic chemistry
Ceramic composite systems

Rigorous scientific approach with a willingness to experiment
Excellent lab etiquette standards
Coaching and mentoring abilities for junior team members
