You will be joining us at a pivotal point in our company journey, with significant opportunities to shape and develop our service delivery.

We are looking for a senior Facilities professional to join us as the Head of Facilities at the QEQM Hospital, Margate.

The Head of Facilities takes leadership responsibility for the development and management of soft facilities services at the QEQM hospital, Margate. You will act as a front facing champion for 2gether Support Solutions, and will inspire and manage a team spanning the areas of cleaning, catering, portering, laundry, logistics, residential, waste and security.

They will ensure that the Soft Facilities services support the provision of high quality, safe care and deliver a positive experience for all service users. The post holder must also be available for out of hours emergency response when required.

Main responsibilities:

The Head of Facilities is a senior and significant post at 2gether Support Solutions. The post holder is responsible for the development, management and operation of 2gether Support Solutions soft facilities services, and they need to be a sector leader of the highest calibre who can make a significant contribution to the development and delivery of the company's wider strategic aims and objectives, and it's operational policies. Further responsibilities include:

  • Provide a high quality, customer focused and efficient delivery of facilities services ensuring that these meet statutory and contractual requirements.
  • To ensure that the delivery of services by external contractors are monitored to ensure that high standards and value for money are achieved.
  • To encourage and develop a culture within the facilities services team at the QEQM Hospital of excellent customer service and promote a professional and caring image. Provide customer-centered services, recognising the contribution of such services to the experience of patients and staff.
  • To represent 2gether Support Solutions when meeting with customers, stakeholders and the public in order to enhance reputation and foster a partnership approach to relationships.

What we're looking for:

The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading, inspiring, and managing a large team across a 24/7 operation. They will also have:

  • Experience as a Soft Facilities Manager at senior level (preferably within a Healthcare environment). Team player with ability to contribute effectively at corporate level.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent.
  • A thorough knowledge of HACCP, National Cleaning Standards, and BICS regulations. Clear understanding of the importance of safety and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong Customer Care skills to ensure a customer driven approach in the delivery of services
  • Experience managing and controlling budgets with evidence of the effective management of contracts, staff and budgets.
  • Proactive attitude, and ability to manage and prioritise workload.
  • Qualifications or certificates in Health and Safety, Supervisory Management, or related desirable.
